All four of these Girl Scouts have been covering the Decatur Stuff the Bus food drive for 5 years. they began when they were 5 years old in Kindergarten.
Kara, the troop leader stated, "I never have to remind these young ladies when we are doing Stuff the Bus. They ask me, when are we doing the Stuff the Bus food drive?" They have faithfully volunteered for 5 years and volunteer for the entire 9:00am - 3:30pm day.

For the past 7 years the Dollar General in Covert has generously allowed Van Buren County United Way to have Stuff the Bus food drive for the Covert area.
The volunteers this year were the girls group from Lilly of the Valley church in Covert. There were a couple of young men as well. All were all enthusiastically greeting customers. Everything collected stays in the community and will help fill more food needs over the holidays for Covert families
On behalf of everyone working the food pantry and all who come needing food, I say a great big thank you to each and everyone of you who either donated food, time, money or all three. Special thanks to Gobles NHS Students who worked so tirelessly, Van Buren County United Way, Vera Tanier Sebree for sponsoring Stuff the Bus, Village Market for allowing us to use the premises, Gobles Public Schools for supplying a School Bus. This year there was approximately one-third more food than we have ever collected. From the bottom of my heart to each of you thank you for helping us at the food pantry, meet the needs of our community. Thank you for caring, thank you for loving us all. So proud to live in this community.
